It was at an early age Ray was introduced to the construction field by a local neighbor who took an interest in teaching him the tricks of the trade. During this time Ray began to understand his desire to pursue a career in the construction business. Ray began his construction career in upstate New York 35 years ago, starting as a laborer for an upscale residential home builder while attending classes at Finger Lakes College in Canandaigua, New York. Ray quickly moved up the ladder becoming the crew leader over-seeing upscale home framing projects in the eastern Rochester, New York area. After several years of being in the home framing industry, Ray advanced and began completing multiple phases of new home construction.
Eighteen years ago, Ray moved to Virginia to be with his wife, a native of Virginia. Ray established his presence in the local community working for several upscale residential home builders over-seeing multiple projects throughout the different construction phases. Ray served as Field Manager on several of the home builds meeting outlined construction deadlines and budget parameters.
During 2003-2006 Ray branched off starting his own framing business focusing on new home framing for several high-end home builders in the Fluvanna County, Virginia area. After much thought, Ray transitioned his framing business to a sub-contracting business to allow utilization of his many talents. Focusing on new editions, remodels, major home repairs, and minor home repairs for home owners in the central Virginia area. Many projects being very intricate and detailed oriented.
Ray resides in Palmyra, Virginia with his wife, and youngest son. His two older sons graduated high school and went on to pursue careers in the military. Ray has the passion and love to serve and minister to people in need within his community and surrounding areas. He participates in Christian outreach at homeless shelters, soup kitchens, on the streets, and any other place the need arises. He is an active member of his local church. He works closely with the outreach group providing his construction services where needed. For pleasure, he enjoys motorcycle rides, antique sign collecting, the outdoors, and spur of the moment weekend trips to the beach with his family. OBX being his home away from home!
